Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS)
Personal Emergency Response Systems have traditionally consisted of a panic button, usually worn on a medical pendant or bracelet. When the Panic Button is pressed, a speakerphone is activated and the Senior is connected to an emergency operator.
The problems with traditional PERS are that they only help in emergencies, and even then if the senior is not wearing the pendant there will be nothing the PERS can do to help. pomGuard leapfrogs traditional personal emergency response systems by combining ADL Monitoring with Activity Monitoring. pomGuard looks out for your Senior 24 hours a day, not just in emergencies.
pomGuard leapfrogs medical alert pendants by intelligently combining its Personal Emergency Response capabilities with Activity Monitoring. Whereas traditional panic buttons must be activated in order to get help, pomGuard sends updates to caregivers automatically. There’s no pendant to wear, and pomGuard is ready 24 hours a day.
